Best way to run HDMI cable in walls?
So presently I have my computer hooked to my TV with a long HDMI cable that runs along the floor. We are in the process of putting up new drywall and I will have access to the bare studs. What have others done to run your HDMI? I could run the existing cable behind the wall and have the male ends sticking out either side, but that looks a bit sloppy. I'd like to have something like network or phone cable where you have a female jack on either side and you plug a regular cable in to both sides.
Use an hdmi wall plate )one is limked below) then you use a shorter hdmi cable from wall plate to tv, computer, or whatever it is you have. The plate lets you plug the in-wall hdmi into the back. Use a CL2 rated cable for in-wall installation. I like monoprice, com but there are other sites with good but inexpensive hdmi cables.
