Viewing 1080p video from my PC in Sony Bravia 1080p Ready ISSUE?
Hi,
I tried to watch 1080p movies from my pc using Sony Bravia TV that is 1080p HD ready. I have used HDMI connection from the video card to tv. Somehow, There are glitches in the movies. When the glitch happens, the video jams for a bit, but the audio is still running smoothly. My processor is intel core 2 duo 2.66G, and 2GB memory. I am using vlc media player to view the video. Any ideas what went wrong? Thanks a lot for the help
Windows has addlesrts oaddlesesses going on at any particular time. Your computer is not all that fast of a computer and it seems especially short in memory. I suspect what is happening is that your computer swap file is sometimes doing what a swap file does ... which has the effect of slowing your computer down for an instant. If you are in a spreadsheet, you would not notice anything... other than maybe the disk activity light going on. Trying to run a blu-ray movie though is another matter and as you note, your video stalls for an instant.
I'd try first to add more memory and see if that helps. Also, don't try to watch a movie with any other applications running.
