how can i make my HD tv look sharper?
i was told by a friend to get a hdmi extender but i read that its only good for long hdmi cables, 15ft or more. Does anybody have a hdmi extender that use's a short cable that made there picture sharper and more clear? Any ideas out there.
That isn't going to make a difference.
Digital 101 - a digital picture is made up of data. The cable, or an extender or whatever else you put in line will not change the data and therefore will not change the picture. Tell me, if you write a check with a Mont Blanc pen, will it be worth more than if you write it with a 98 cent Bic pen? Of course not! What matters is the numbers on the check and the medium doesn't change the numbers. The same is true of a HD MI cable.
If your video looks soft, it's the video itself, not the cable. If you are on cable or satellite, they are notorious for compressing the video to make room for more channels. Compression removes detail. You didn't say what your source was, I am guessing . . .
