Suggestions for an HDMI Cable from computer to lcd tv in other room?
Well I want to hook up my computer via hdmi cable to my lcd tv in the room right next to the room my computer is in. So I have a few questions:
Are cheap 50ft cords on amazon worth buying?
Is it safe to use the lcd tv I have as a secondary monitor? (ex. Switching to my main one for desk work and using the tv for entertainment (youtube, facebook,etc.))
Any brands I should look for or buyers to avoid?
I am looking for a cord that will just allow me to use my tv for the lager picture for youtube or just entertainment like facebook, msn, gaming, etc. I do not need the highest end cord I am looking for a cheap yet reliable cord.
***Edit*** Please state reasoning behind whether or not a cheaper cord would do the job. I could easily make a guess at one or the other to give some one an answer, but knowing why or why not teaches the person and gives them backing for your answer.
Do you really need a 50 foot cable? Try your best to keep the cable length shorter if possible. 50 feet is about the max for a normal HDMI cable and even at that, you may have problems. There are 25 and 35 foot lengths too. If you really need a 50 foot cable, just get the best one you can afford. Avoid the really cheap ones but you do not have to spend $100 either:
