How to get sound when playing XBOX 360 on LCD monitor?
I have a 20' dell lcd monitor that i use for my desktop computer. My old tube tv broke, and i decided that i should play xbox on the monitor. I got the video working fine using an HDMI to DVI cable, but i cant get the sound to work. I got something like this, i think its called an audio splitter the link to the pic is below, and i plugged it in to the headphone and microphone jack and put in the two audio components into the splitter turned on my speakers on my computer, tuned on the xbox and the audio didnt work. Please help.

With HDMI its not going to work more then likely. What you want is a cable that has the audio outputs, red and white plugs, and then a monitor cable output aswell. I got one for 20 dollars at gamestop. It will still display HD if your monitor supports it, and I run the adio stright into my sound system and it works wonderful.
