Xbox 360 won't connext to the HMDI port of my computer monitor.?
Okay so I had a VGA cable from my xbox to my computer monitor which has VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports. It worked fine, but I wanted to see if I could get better video quality, the best possible. So, I bought an [HDMI (Male) / VGA (Male)] cable and plugged it into the back of my monitor in the HDMI port, and I also bought a VGA (Female) / VGA (Female) (called a gender changer I believe) and I connected the HDMI cable to my xbox 360 VGA cable. So I thought it seemed legit and workable, but I started up my xbox and there's "no input" from my monitor it says.
What have I done wrong?
All the connections are secure.
Guess I didn't mention, but yes I do know to switch monitor modes, so that is not the problem.
It says "No Signal" when I switch to the HDMI mode.
A lot of monitors have multiple inputs that do not automatically change. Your monitor might still be set to VGA instead of HDMI. (Think the TV/Video function on your remote for your Television.)
Make sure that your computer is set to HDMI input.
