hdmi vs component cables?
I recently bought a dvd set which can upscale 1080p..but my lcd tvd is only 720p..when I switch the resolution to 1080p, I don't see any improvement..why?? and one more thing, I have another dvd 480p set which is connected with component cables..when I compare some movies deck to deck, I feel like the component cabled dvd looks better..Why?? hdmi suppose to look better right?? pls help..
DVD is crap on a HDTV. Even with upscale, you can't make it "better". They are meant to be played in 720x480 screens, not 1920x1080, or 1280x720, so that is the reason it looks better on your 480p tv. HDMI and Component cables are not the problem here.
