XBOX 360 HD quality loss?
Hi, We have just bought an Xbox 360 Core model manufactured before the 0728 lot num ,thus meaning no HD ouput, we are soon getting a bigger tv with HD resoloution and i am thinking about purchasing an Xbox 360 HDMI conversion kit from madcatz to turn the AV into HD and wondered whether the quality of the image would be the same as an xbox with HD output? thanx
to answer your q, the original xbox core model that was the first to be released, had no HD output port,only AV ,and thus i want to know whether the image would differ from an xbox with HD output ports if i used an Av to HD conversion kit (Google XBOX 360 HD conversion kit madcatz) thanx
I don't understand what you mean by NO HD OUTPUT? All xbox 360's have HD output. You just need the xbox 360 AV cable that goes from the proprietary connector to component cables(red-blue-green with red and white audio). I thought this cable came with it. Mine did. A converter will just send the same output that the component cable would. There will still be analog to digital conversion taking place.
In answer to your addition details:
I have been trying to research what came with the original core system and I found that it comes with the AV cable that connects to your TV using composite (Yellow-video, red & white-audio). All you need for HD is the component AV cable (red-blue-green with red and white audio). Here is a link to all you need:
