Cable TV problem...mainly picture and sound.?
We have recently gotten an HDTV and switched from basic cable to digital cable with an HDDVR box. On occasion, especially with the recordings, our picture and sound is not very good. The picture looks fuzzy and the sound is breaking up like a speaker is blown. It is not like this on all channels, just some of them. I was wondering if it could be the cable connection. We are using the same cable connection cord from the wall that we used on the old tv and basic cable, it is at least five years old. If it is what do we need to replace with to get the best picture and sound? If not what else could be the problem? I do have a HDMI cable from the converter box to the TV so it is not that connection. (We use Comcast by the way)
Are the channels that are affected always bad?
Does it happen on all TVS in the home?
If they are between channel 2-99, try going direct from the wall to the TV. If the signal improves, it is an issue caused by the box.
Once you have checked these items, call Comcast and explain the situation. You pay for all channels and they must repir it. Unless it is your TV.
