somebody said AMD procesors are bad for games and the 516 graphics card is better but i dont no can someone help
A slimline machine is not a good idea for gaming. The reason is that if ever you want a more powerful card (and the 9500gs is really a low end card to start with) you will not find anything that will fit in the case.
The other machine is barely passable as a gaming box, but it really depends on what you want to play on it. If you plan on games like cod4, crysis, and assassins creed, you will find it very disappointing indeed as your frame rates will be very low (under 10 in some areas of crysis, even on low detail, so borderline unplayable)
Ive been gaming on computers for 25 years and have gone through a lot of machines in that time. My suggestion is, if you want to play the latest games, try to get something with a better graphics chipset. If you are happy to play older games then the second machine will be fine.
Machines properly set up for gaming - so that they will play games smoothly and with enough detail - are a different kind of build to the ones you're looking at. The best setup is something with a fast dual core, a mid to high-end graphics chipset, and a large power supply. A reasonable gaming computer put together like this should cost about $1200-1500 for the box.
as far as amd processors and gaming goes, thats untrue
in regard to vram, 512 is good but the clock speed, shaders, fill rate, and type of memory factor in also. Its incorrect to assume a card will perform just because it has lots of ram.
