Can I edit a TV program recorded on a hard drive/ dvd recorder?
I am thinking of buying a HDMI dvd/Hard Drive recorder.
Will I be able to edit out the ads etc, before burning to disc?Also will I be able to transfer to my PC for editing?
I would be grateful for any help.

Well, I've got a Sony RDR-HXD560, and editing anything on the hard drive is a piece of cake.
You can chop out adverts, edit programme length and re-arrange the recording order, before burning to a DVD.
I just figured all DVD recorders with HDD offered that basic function (it appears that the cheapo ones from Argos and the supermarkets don't. Maybe that is why they are cheap...).
