Xbox 360 to Monitor help?
My Monitor has DVI-D and VGA inputs, and I use DVI. I think it is 20"-22" widescreen and it is set to 1680x1050.My video card has DVI and S-Video, and I also have these adapters:
DVI - HDMI
SVideo - RCA
DVI - VGA
YPbPr - SVideo
I was wondering if I could connect my 360, which has RCA, YPbPr, and HDMI output, to my video card using the YPbPr - SVideo adapter, and the output it to my moniter through DVI. If I can't do that, then tell me what I need to do. I don't have an HDMI cable and I would rather not buy a 360-VGA cable,besides, I would rather use DVI or HDMI.
No, you cannot hook up your XBox360 to a PC video card. A PC video card's ports are output only, built to send out a video signal to a display. It cannot accept an incoming video signal from an outside source.
Your best option remains the XBox HDAV VGA cable, because you are already using DVI on that monitor for your computer.
