how to get audio when you are connecting you HDTV to your pc with DVI-HDMI converter?
i have connected my HDTV to my pc as a monitor with a DVI-HDMI converter but i can't get audio please tell me how to get perfect audio ? i have nvidia 6600 geforce by the way i don't know if it matters but i wrote it just in case. thanx in advance 
HDMI carries both video and audio, DVI carries only video...
So, you will need to output audio from your computers audio outputs, either from the motherboards outputs or soundcard outputs (if you have a separtate sound card).
I have a GeForce 8500GT (MSI) that outputs HDTV signals via a DVI adapter which has a audio input so as to provide both audio and video through the HDMI. I doubt your 6600 has this feature but you can check your video card manufactures website to see for certain.
If you have digital outputs (coax or optical) from either your MoBo or audio card I would utilize those. A problem you may find is that you can't use a digital audio (PCM or Bitstream) connection if your tv and/or a/v receiver lacks this feature (few hdtv's have this available, but most newer a/v receivers do).
If a digital out is unavailable to you then you will have to use the outputs you are using currently for you computer speakers. You could use a Y splitter to connent both simultaniously (just turn off the computer speakers when you wish to just watch your HDTV).
