Is there a way I can connect my Nintendo Wii to my DVI-I and HDMI capable monitor, but also get sound?
I also have Dell USB Powered Speakers with the green audio cable. I need audio, and I do not mind purchasing any cables necessary. However, I don't want to buy those switcher box devices!
Is it possible to get a Nintendo Wii to HDMI cable? I'm all right even if I have to purchase a component cable seperately. Getting video isn't a problem, but I NEED THE AUDIO!
Help would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
@ Claire
But I have speakers which I CAN connect to my monitor. I'm confident with the technical side of things, I just need to know if there is some sort of all in one solution cable to connect my Wii to my monitor. Currently, HDMI is the only solution as it provides both video and sound. The only problem is that I can't find such a cable!
Nope. You cannot connect the Wii to a display HDMI jack. The Wii has NO digital video support whatsoever.
A display's HDMI jack can only receive a digital video signal (DVI / TMDS).
