PS3 to VGA Monitor... help?
Hey guys
I want to connect my PS3 to my Acer x183H monitor...
So far, I have an HDMI to HDMI cable, and a HDMI to DVI converter. I've looked around and stuffs mostly saying that a straight up HDMI to VGA cable won't work for some reason. Would this work:
Hdmi-Hdmi -> Hdmi-Dvi -> Dvi-Dvi (F/F) -> Dvi-Vga

That will NEVER work.
Those DVI-to-VGA converters are intended for video cards that have a DVI-I port capable of sending out a VGA signal. You CANNOT daisychain that adapter to a PS3 HDMI port.
The PS3's HDMI port CANNOT send out a VGA signal, and will NEVER work with a VGA monitor, no matter what cables and adapters you try to daisychain.
The PS3's HDMI port will only work with HDCP-compliant monitors, via HDMI or DVI. NO VGA.
