Dell Dimension 2400: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/SYSTEMS/dim2400/en/sm_en/specs.htm
I want to know because I'm planning on changing the processor from a Pentium 4 to an i3 540
Thank You!
Can you provide specs on the case not just the entire PC itself? But so far it seems to be looking good. The motherboard you are looking at is a ATX board. This is the category that the motherboard is in. If you case can support ATX boards (which it probably does) then you will be fine. If worse comes to worse you can just buy a cheap case since you have the correct RAM anyway i assume? The case that you are currently using isn't that big of a necessity if you are trying to upgrade parts of your PC. You can always transfer your existing parts to your new case if you get one. Also make sure that the PSU that you currently have is correct for the new board and since you are using IDE drives and disc readers make sure you have enough slots on the new board. I dont think the board you are currently looking at has ANY IDE slots. This is not going to be good for you if you dont have any SATA drives that you bought.
Hope that helps,
