Connecting a Home Media Center... Please help ..
Hello everyone ..
Im trying to set up a "small" media center
> I have a Playstation 3 (40gb)
> Sony HS20 projector
> LCD tv
> Terratec Home Arena 5.1 speakers
How can I connect both LCD and Projector with only one HDMI out from PS3?
And my Terratec speakers only have 6 cinch in (one for every speaker - front left, front right, sub etc..), so Can I take a Optical Digital Out from PS3 and somehow connect it to the Terratec home arena .. if not by that how?
Terratec Home Arena doesnt have a digital audio in, they are pc 5.1 speakers...
thanks in advance
To answer your first question your best bet is to get an HDMI switcher box which can route the HDMI from your PS3 to both your projector and your TV.
To answer your second question I am not familiar with Terratec speakers but if they don't have a digital audio input there is not much you can do. The best choice would be to get an inexpensive receiver and some real speakers. I'm guessing your present speakers are powered so you have to run your sound to the computer input on your speakers using analog since they don't do digital.
