Can I connect my PS3 to my Macbook Pro using a Mini DVI to HDMI Video Cable Adapter for Macbooks and iMacs?
Just so I can use my Macbook as a monitor.
I truly don't recommend it simply bc then you only can get video, not audio. The reason for that is you need a hdmi to dvi/vga cable, but the problem with that is that these cables only transfer video. I don't know about you but I like to hear whats going on. So to make that possible you either need a stereo system with optical in. Or you need a splitter which simply is a box where you have one port for the hdmi cable, while at the other end you have two ports one for video and the other for audio. So bye now hope the word tv should pop up in your mind. Remember that the ps3 is 100 % made for the tv and 50 % for computer monitor, and the reason is that tv got both video and audio in the same box plus they can go all the way up to 1080p which is the current standard.
