Can i pass audio from HDMI through my LG32LT75 and out the optical out?
I've got an LG 32LT75, a PS3 and an XBOX 360, which are both plugged in via hdmi. Would i be able to output their audio through the optical out on the tv to a surround sound system?
Yes, the digital audio output will allow you to forward the audio to your surround sound system. But, not all manufacturers forward the full surround sound signal from HDMI input sources. I know that the Samsung's will only forward stereo sound from HDMI sources. They do forward full 5.1 surround sound from the coaxial input. Panasonic's forward 5.1 surround sound from both HDMI & coaxial input sources. I could not find the manual on the 32LT75, so you will just have to test this for yourself, but you will get audio with this approach
