Is there any reason why I couldn't use a passive 2-in 1-out HDMI swith for 1-in 2-out purposes?
I would think such a switch simply connects the "output" connector to 1 of the two "input" connectors. Also, I would not be using the connectors for HDMI purposes, I just need 19-pin connectors (and switch) for what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for any insight.

The "HDMI" cable would be carrying usb wires, and the ground (common) and signal wires for numerous microswitches, if that makes a difference.
