How necessary are expensive HDMI cables for a new plasma HDTV?
Going to purchase either a 42 or 50 inch plasma and was wondering what the difference is between some of the cheaper HDMI cables that cost between 30-80$ and the expensive ones which are 130+?

NO DIFFERENCE between cheap and expensive cabling....just buy a nice set of inexpensive cables, or even a well built MID-Priced cable that doesn't go over $50.
The $120 cables are just trying to sell you on stuff that doesn't IMPROVE the HDMI signal....
HDMI is digital anyways, so you don't need to keep those 1's and 0's straight and square shaped....you only need to distinguish between 1 and 0.....
