Flat Panel Monitor Backlight Problem.?
Hello, I own a HP vs17e flatscreen monitor. When I turn it on, it works fine for about 2 seconds, but then shuts off. When I place a flashlight to the screen I can see that the display still works, but just not the backlight. I am thinking of getting a new backlight inverter to replace if that is the problem. My important question is...
Is there anyway to mod the existing inverter to not shut off each time it turns on?
Or do you think I should just replace the inverter all together?
And if so, I cannot find the inverter for my model.
Can you help me find a website that has it? Because I just cant find one.

UPDATE:::: By using the word mod, i ment fuse replacement. Some boards dont have fuses, but this one might, i am still learning about how all of this works. Just hoping i can fix it before having to buy parts to fix it.
I suggest you get a new display....Or call someone who is a professional in this field...
