Running HDMI cable behind wall?
How do I run three HDMI cables behind a finished wall horizontally? I need to go through two or three studs. Do I need to use a conduit for this and what tools?
Going through studs is difficult with thick wire like HDMI cables. You would probably be best to cut the drywall away where the wires will go and patch up the drywall after. Cut a 5 or 6" high by however long your length is. You could then fit a drill in to drill through the 3 studs. That would be easier than punching a hole in between the studs to get your drill in. Easier to work with, and easier to patch afterward.
Running a conduit through would be advisable so that you can change out cables in the future. For 3 HDMI cables you would probably need a 1 1/2" or greater diameter conduit.
The other option is using a raceway on your baseboard.
